The IK rating indicates how impact resistant a lighting fixture is. In other words: it shows how well a lamp or fixture can withstand mechanical shocks.

The IK rating is displayed on a scale from 0 to 10:

• IK00 – Very little protection against impacts

• IK10 – Very high protection against impacts
